Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking as needed.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Support clients with memory care techniques to help manage cognitive challenges.
- Assist with medical documentation as required, ensuring accurate records of care provided.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices is a plus.
- Strong ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
- Familiarity with home health care protocols and long-term care practices is beneficial.
- Excellent observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks and laundry duties as part of daily responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building rapport with clients.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following established care plans.
